Say what you like about retail giant Amazon, but we all should admit that one thing it does extremely well is its own devices. And if you missed out on bagging a device at a lower price during July's Prime Day sale, and you're unwilling to wait for Black Friday in November, here's some advice: why not buy a second-hand “Certified Refurbished” device?
That might not sound like a particularly appealing option. But here's how it works with Amazon's CR goods. They're pre-owned products that get returned to the retailer. Amazon then tests, refurbishes and certifies they're fit for resale - and then they're put back on the market for a reduced price. They look brand-new, and also come with a one-year warranty. No ugly wear-and-tear; no worries that they'll clap out after five minutes of use. Sounds pretty good, right?
Even better, right now Amazon are offering a series of discounts across its CR devices, meaning you'll save even more dosh than usual. We've rounded them up below.
